It All Begins Here
Our story
Lacamas Laboratories was organized at the AmFac Hotel in Dallas, Texas. Lacamas started work in a rented laboratory with an office at home. Shortly thereafter, it leased a 1000 sq ft office which was partially converted to a laboratory. Eventually a 6,000 sq ft warehouse was also leased where a 200 gallon and 300 gallon glass-lined reactor with glass overheads was installed as the first production equipment.

Over the decade Lacamas steadily leased more buildings on the Portland site. Converting building 4 to a large chemical manufacturing site for pharmaceutical intermediates with a total building capacity of 11,000 gallons in 8 reactors.
Finally, the entire site was purchased in 1999.

-2000’s -
Throughout the decade Lacamas increased pharmaceutical intermediate sales and brought on many new customers. As well as expanded the site to include many new facilities to keep up with the companies growing clientele.
2002 Built building 8, a large production building .
2004 Built the current office/laboratory in Portland
2005 Built building 7, a large chemical warehouse.

Expanded contact with many prominent pharmaceutical companies. While still having a diversified business including in a separate building, making dyes and other components of ink for a major printer manufacturer.
2016 Expanded office by building a modern well equipped chemical research laboratory.
Lacamas has continued to expand it’s clientele base and the company sees growth in new ways. Started a partnership with the DoD to make critical chemicals previously only available from China. The company is focused on further developing all locations, including major expansions currently in progress
2025 Acquired a second facility in Albany, Oregon.

Since its inception, Lacamas Laboratories has consistently provided customers with innovative technology, agile response, and quality products.
